10 years later…

Fifteen-year-old Medon and fourteen-year-old Mona sneak into the back door of his parent’s large mansion. He looks in several directions, hopping to make a direct run to his run.

“You see anybody,” Mona asks quietly.

“Nope. I don’t sense anybody either,” Medon replies as he turns and smiles at the girl. He grabs her hand and they dart into the building, up the stair and down the hallway into his room. He shuts the door quietly behind him. Once the door is shut, they let go of a breath that they didn’t know they were holding.

Mona walks over to Medon’s bed and sits down on the edge. The resemblance to her mother, Marron, is startling. She smoothes the wrinkles out of her skirt. She looks up at smiles at Medon. Medon smiles back. He walks up to her and brushes her golden hair out of her face so he can look into her dark eyes.

“You have pretty eyes, have I ever told you?”

“Many times,”

“Your father used that line with me plenty of times,” came Pan’s voice.

Medon and Mona jerk up and look in the direction of his mother’s voice. Pan and Trunks walk out of Medon’s slide closet. Medon slaps himself in the face and Mona covers hers in embracement.

“Busted,” Trunks snickers as he removes his glasses. Pan elbows him in the side. She walks up to her son and frowns.

Medon looks up at her through his silky black hair. “How did…”

“We know that you two were sneaking up here,” Pan finishes. “Well for one, Marron called and told us that Mona disappeared out of her room. Now she would only do that if she was sneaking out with you.”

“Your mother and I pulled that stunt several times when we were younger,” Trunks adds. “So no matter what you think of, just remember that your folks thought of it first.”

“Take her home Medon,” Pan replies as she turns and follows Trunks to the door. “We will have your punishment thought of when you return.”

“Damn,” Medon swears under his breath.

“I heard that,” Pan remarks on the other side of the hall.

The two teens look at each other and sigh. They then walk out into the hallways and then down the stairs. Halfway down they run into his ten year old sister, Rice. She snickers at the two.

“Busted,” she giggles.

“Why don’t you do something productive,” Medon snaps. “Like go play in traffic!”

“I’m gonna tell daddy that you’re being mean!”

“It’s my job as an older brother!”

“Medon, let’s just go.” Mona interrupts the two. “We’re in enough trouble as it is.”

Medon glares at his younger sister, but then smiles. He ruffles the younger girls hair and squats down to her level. “If you can talk mom and dad out of punishing me I’ll take you to that new toy store in Satan City Shopping Center.”

Rice’s blue eyes widen with anticipation. “You’d do that for me?”

“If you can get me out of trouble,” Medon winks.

“Count on it,” Rice replies with a wink of her own. “After all, I have daddy wrapped under my finger!”

The girl turns and runs into the kitchen, her black-lavender hair bobbing behind her in two pigtails, much like her grandmother Videl. Medon chuckles and stands. “Well, now that is take care of…”

“We can now leave,” Mona smiles. “It’s cute the way you and your sister get along. Sometimes I wish mom and dad had another child.”

“Believe me, you don’t,” Medon laughs.

“Mom, don’t you think this is enough,” a twenty-six year old Gosan asks beneath the bags. “Silk and I are only getting married, not moving into a giant mansion like Pan and Trunks!”

“Nonsense,” Videl remarks. Her hair is pulled down into a tight braid and she is wearing red shorts and jacket with black boots. “Chichi and Bulma did most of the preparations on Pan and Trunks’ wedding. I think I deserve the chance to help with my son’s.”

Gosan sighs. He looks over at his father Gohan who only shrugs. “Just be glad that I decided to keep you company.”

“Thanks a lot dad,” Gosan sighs. He places the bags on the floor and stretches. He is wearing tan loose pants and a dark green t-shirt. His wild hair is still spiky, much like in his Mystic form. Unlike his father, he continued his training to keep his Mystic form up to date.

Gohan chuckles. He removes his glasses and places them inside his jacket. “Come on Videl, let’s take a break. I’m hungry and I’m sure that Gosan is too.”

Gosan nods his head eagerly. Videl chuckles. “Okay, let’s go put these bags into the car and then we’ll go to the food court.”

Gosan and Gohan lick their lips in anticipation. Gosan notices another spiky head in the mist of the crowd. “Hey, is that Kay-Jay?”

Videl and Gohan turn and look in that direction. Sure enough Kay-Jay and Diner are walking through the crowd, obvious to the fact that they are being watched. Gosan smirks as he walks up behind his cousin and slaps him on the back.

Kay-Jay jumps. He turns and frowns at his cousin. “I’m only twenty-four Gosan, that’s to early to have a heart-attack.”

Gosan chuckles. “Well you walked right past us. Anyways, you two want to join my parent’s and I? We’re about to go get something to eat.”

“We would love too,” Diner replies with a smile. She looks exactly like her mother Ranchi, when her hair is blue. However, when she sneezes, watch out! She becomes a pure, grade A bitch!

The three begin talking about Gosan’s upcoming wedding with Silk as they head toward Gohan and Videl.

Twenty-three year old Buu walks down the hallway of the Capsule Corp. branch in West Capital. Three years ago he took over his mother’s position as president. Unlike his uncle Trunks, Buu continued his training after assuming the presidency of the large company.

He stops at his secretary’s desk. “Have I received any calls while I was gone?”

“Just one sir,” the young lady replies with a blush on her face. “Your grandfather requested that you meet him in the gravity room after you leave the office.”

“Thank you,” Buu replies. He straightens his tie and walks into his office. Once inside he walks over to his desk and opens his laptop. The moment the screen comes on an Instant Messenger pops up.

He looks down at the message and smiles. It’s from his sister Panty. “So she’s coming home from college today. Mom and Dad will be pleased to hear about this. Especially Grandma Bulma.”

Buu smirks. “I think I’ll call grandma. Knowing her, she’ll through a welcome back party. Meaning I now have a reason to skip grandpa’s training session today!”

Never before has Vegeta had Goku so close on the ropes. They have been at it for several hours, nonstop. Chichi rolled her eyes, giving up trying to get the two from fighting.

“Ha,” Vegeta screams as he jumps up from the floor. “You may have the edge on me when it comes to sparring, but I AM THE KING OF PLAYSTATION!”

Goku drops his control and sighs. “Oh boy, here we go again…”

“What do you mean again, Kakarroto? Are you suggesting that I, Vegeta the prince of the Saiya-jin’s is a gloater?!”

“Well… now that you mention it, YEAH!”

From the kitchen Chichi rolls her eyes. She takes a pan of pasta off the stove and places it on a wooden mat on the table. “Tell me again, how old those two are?”

Celeria chuckles. “At least they are fighting verbally. It’s a lot more entertaining than watching those go spar over and over again.”

“Yeah, but you’ll have to deal with Vegeta’s ramblings for the next several hours,” Radittsu mutters. “Anyways, I’ve got to be going. Work starts in a few minutes.”

“Will you make it in time,” Lana asks as she hugs her husband from behind.

He kisses her palm. “Yep. Training with pop’s and Kakarroto has made me faster and stronger. I’m sure that if I’d put more effort into it, I will become a Super Saiya-jin as well.”

“Don’t see what for,” Chichi replies as she sets the plates on the table. “The Earth has been in peace for a good ten years. Actually the whole universe. The Kaio’s said that this was the era of great peace.”

“I demand a re-match,” yells Goku.

“Why? It doesn’t matter, since I’ll beat you again!”

“Yeah… well… you have gray hair! Ha! Top that, oh mighty pain in the…”

“Will you two pipe down in there,” Chichi screams. “I can’t hear myself think!”

The phone rings and Chichi picks it up. “Oh, hello Bulma!”

The two are quiet for several moments before Vegeta mutters, “Restart the system Kakarrot.”

Goten and Paresu land their air-car in Trunks and Pan’s yard. Trunks sighs and rubs his face. “Goten! How many times do I have to tell you? Land in the courtyard!”

“But that’s to far to walk Trunks,” Goten wines. “Besides, I can’t stay for long. I promised Gohan that Paresu and I would meet him at the Shopping Center.”

Trunks tosses his arms up in the air, his now long hair blowing in the wind. “Fine Goten.”

Pan chuckles at her husband’s expression. She hears the several insults Trunks calls her uncle in his head, thanks to their bond. “Trunks, be nice! After all he is your best friend, not to mention my uncle.”

Trunks chuckles in response. ”But you do agree with me.”

Pan laughs. Goten frowns when he reaches the two. “Okay, I don’t like it when you two communicate through your minds. It just know that you two are talking about me.”

“No we’re not uncle Goten,” Pan replies sweetly. Trunks snorts, but Pan stomps his foot under the table.

“Where’s my great-nephew at,” Goten asks as he looks around the patio for him.

“He took Mona home,” Trunks explains. “We caught him and Mona in his room.”

“You guys are mean,” Goten laughs. “Remember all the times that Gohan walked in on you two?”

“Well daddy wasn’t as bad as Vegeta was with Bra and Uubu,” Pan replies.

“Speaking of which, I haven’t heard from Uubu or Bra within the past two days. Have you?”

“I think they are preparing for Panty’s return. Uubu told me that she was supposed to return this week from college.”

“Isn’t Luipt supposed to pick her up from the airport?” Pan asks as she brushes her short hair with a brush.

“No, I think she has to work,” Trunks replies. He then chuckles. “It’s hard to remember everybody’s daily schedule.”

“How can that be,” Goten asks. “Aren’t you the president for Satan City’s branch of Capsule Corp.?”

“Isn’t your wife waiting for you,” Trunks growls.

“Oh yeah, I just about forgot!” Goten laughs, his hand behind his head. “I’ll see you guys later!”

“Take your time,” Trunks calls out to his retreating form. Pan nearly falls out of her seat in laughter.

That afternoon Panty indeed, returned home. Korn was the one who picked her up at the airport. If Panty trained when she was younger she could have flown home, but alas she did not.

When Korn pulled his car up at Capsule Corp., she was welcomed home by her parent’s, Bra and Uubu. Bulma went up and began fussing over the girl, much like all grandmothers. Vegeta walked up to her and hugged her. To this day he still only shows open affection to his wife, daughter and granddaughter.

Sure enough, Bulma had a surprise party thrown, much to Panty’s like. Inside the large room tables were lined up with food, music was blaring through the speakers, and the rest of her family and friends were inside.

“You planned all this for me,” she cries.

“Anything for my granddaughter,” Bulma smiles as she hugs her granddaughter. “Come everybody is waiting.”

Korn follows behind the two but soon leaves to hang out with his sister. Panty is greeted back by everyone. She runs up to her cousin Medon and hugs him.

“Medon, it’s so good to see you!”

“Same here Panty,” he responds. “How about we blow this party and go out to the town? Since you’re legal age we can go into clubs?”

Panty chuckles. “Same old Medon. You never change. Wow, I can’t believe that everyone is here! It’s been a while since everybody has been in one place at once!”

“True,” Mona replies, “But he do keep in touch with each other daily.”

“Is it true that Gosan is marrying that girl he dated since junior high? Silk?”

“Yep,” Kay-Jay replies. “I’m pretty sure that he’ll be arriving shortly, with Silk in tow.”

Sure enough, not even twenty minutes later, the mystic Saiya-jin arrives with his declared mate. Gosan may not have inherited all of his father’s peaceful nature; he sure did inherit his style of clothes. He is wearing a black and white suit, and is wearing his glasses. To this day, everyone wonders why Trunks, Gohan and Gosan where their glasses when it is a known fact that they have perfect vision. Maybe it’s to show their business equity or maturity.

“Wow, we should do this more often,” Goku replies between bites. “This is really good?”

“The company or the food grandpa,” Pan asks smiling.

“Both,” the older man smiles.

“Hey,” Gosan exclaims as he spots his mother Videl pushing his grandfather Satan in on his wheelchair. He stands and walks over to the two, with Pan on his heels. “Grandpa’s here!”

Mr. Satan smiles as he watches his grandchildren walk up to him. He opens his arms and welcomes them. Whenever VOID entered the Earth and slammed into Satan City, Mr. Satan was unlucky enough to be one of the thousands that were killed. He had no memory of the deed after he was wished back, the Dragon didn’t consider him one of the warriors, but he did remember the knowledge that they were training to fight something. He was later told what the Dragon, Shenron, had done.

Medon walks over to the table where Mona and her parent’s are sitting at. Yamucha and Kuririn are engulfed in a heated conversation over Yamucha’s baseball team, the Titan’s, previous games. After Kuririn had retired, he became a part time teacher at Goten and Uubu’s training school and Yamucha’s assistance coach.

Medon taps Mona on the shoulder. She turns and smiles. “Hey, what’s up?”

“Nothing much. Do you want to blow this party and go somewhere? I love hanging out with the family, but knowing Aunt Bra and Grandma Bulma they are going to get loud, taking about Panty’s education. I don’t think I can handle it.”

“Sorry,” Mona replies. “You may gotten out of trouble, but I didn’t. Mom’s keeping an eye on me. And from the looks of things, your father is watching you too.”

Medon turns and glances in his father’s direction. Sure enough, Trunks is watching him like a hawk, a smirk present on his face. Medon sighs, his shoulder’s slump. “Well, isn’t that just gravy…”

Mona giggles. “Why don’t you just sit over here with me. Surly we can’t get in trouble for doing just that.”

Medon smirks, looking exactly like his father and grandfather. “Have you forgotten who you are talking to? Trouble is my middle name.”

“I thought it was Vegeta,” Mona replies jokingly.

“Speaking of which,” Medon remarks as he turns and looks back in the crowd. “I haven’t seen grandpa Vegeta since Panty arrived. He welcomed her back and then he disappeared as usual. Must not be hungry.”

Vegeta stands on the rail of his bedroom balcony. He stares out into space, looking at the stars quietly. How he misses the adventure of traveling through space. But those days are long gone, especially with the fact that there is no more evil in the universe. The Kaio’s predicated that this was the era of great peace, a peace that would last a thousand years.

“Father,” came a manly voice.

Vegeta covers his shock with a scowl. He didn’t even sense Trunks coming. He must be slowing down in his old age. After all, he is the oldest Saiya-jin that ever lived. Most Saiya-jin’s never made it to the age of fifty. They usually died in battle, without any means of being brought back to life.

“What do you want brat,” Vegeta snorts.

“Rice was looking for you,” Trunks replies. “She wanted me to find you.”

“She couldn’t come look for me,” Vegeta asks.

“You know how she is,” Trunks chuckles. “She has me wrapped around her finger.”

“As well as that mate of yours,” Vegeta chuckles. “You are whipped.”

Trunks gasps. “Are not!”

Vegeta laughs. “Okay boy, let’s get back to the party. Kami knows I don’t want to have to deal with your mother and sister’s bickering.”

Father and son exit the room, laughing. It is a strange sight, seeing the two laugh and joke about. Vegeta has indeed mellowed out significantly, especially after the fight with VOID, ten years earlier, to this day to be exact.

Once they return downstairs, Pan rushes up to Trunks and grasps his hand. She then leads him out to the dance floor. Rice does the same as she grabs her grandfather’s hand. Goten and Paresu, Radittsu and Lana, Gohan and Videl and Gosan and Silk are all out on the dance floor, dancing to the soft music. In the corner’s Korn is making out with his girlfriend. Luipt and Diner are talking while Kay-Jay fills his face. Yamucha and Marron slowly make their way out to the dance floor with Juuhcha-gou remaining seated with Kuririn. Juuhachi-gou may have also mellowed out within the years, but to this day dancing is not one of her favorite things.

From the side Goku watches and smiles. He wraps his arm around Chichi’s waist. She looks up and smiles at her husband. The two share a brief kiss before Bulma’s voice comes on over the speakers.

“Everyone may I have your attention,” Bulma’s voice booms out of the speakers. Everyone stops dancing and looks toward her. “Now I know that this party was mostly a welcome home party for Panty, but I think we should all reflect on what happened on this day exactly ten years ago.”

“Bulma, do you mind if I say a few things,” Goku asks as he walks up to the stadium.

Bulma’s eyes widen. She never expected Goku to ask that. She smiles and hands the microphone to Goku. “Anything, Son.”

Goku smiles back at his life-long friend. He then turns to face his family and friends. You know, I should have actually thought of what to say before I asked to get up here, but I felt compelled to do so. I think that we should all think back on not just the events that happened ten years ago, but more than to the events that happened long ago, starting with Malice.”

Several nods can be seen and several indeed’s can be heard throughout the group. Goku continues with his speech. “If it wasn’t for his interference with time, this would not be happening as of now. Many of our grandchildren and great-grandchildren would not exist. Malice brought us all closer together, even if we didn’t realize it.”

Pan grasps Trunks hand and tights the hold. Trunks and Pan glance at each other and stare at each other lovingly. Uubu places an arm around Bra’s waist and kisses her cheek. Goten walks up behind Paresu and hugs her. They all understand what Goku is saying, perhaps the most. If it weren’t for what Malice did, none of them would have fount their true soul mate.

“And if it wasn’t for him, Piccolo would never have met my father in hell and learned of where I was at. I would not be here today. I guess what I really want to say is, that let’s enjoy life from now on. We no longer have to worry about some evil threatening us, and we never will, not in this lifetime.”

Everyone looks at Goku with a different view as he finishes his speech. After all is spoken, everyone hugs and cries, but their tears are not in despair, but rather joy. Joy at the life they have all been given. Joy at the fact that they will all live in peace for the generations to come.
